I never realized how many different things could be flavored with pumpkin or pumpkin spice. I had to stop myself from buying pumpkin spice marshmallows and creme cakes today. I did buy pumpkin spice cookies. Those are gone. Pumpkin spice bark. I'm using that in hot milk. It tastes like chai. Pumpkin spice coffee creamer. Awwww yeah. And some pumpkin pie yogurt that I killed earlier. Damn the holidays and their seductive food.
Speaking of food, I managed to not spend an assload of money on groceries today. Since it is starting to get cold, I can buy warming food ingredients and make massive pots of soups, stews, and whatever else comes to mind that will stretch out for days. Tomorrow I'm making this dish that my aunt told me about, and some Spanish rice. Mmmmmm.
My son and I watched "Trick r Treat" tonight. Mr. "Oh, I'll be fine and won't be scared and let's watch horror movies" is now huddled in his bed, terrified beyond belief. Which is hilarious, because a movie about demonic possession (The Amityville Horror II) didn't even faze him, but this little tale of Halloween scared the fuck out of him. I'd laugh at him, but I remember feeling the same way when I was a kid after watching any number of horror flicks. I have a feeling it is going to be a long night.
I think I'm getting sick. Stupid body.
I'm going to do my Autumn house cleaning this week. Unless I turn into mega sloth.
My husband is pounding away on his computer, mashing out a thesis. He will hopefully graduate in December, which is awesome and scary. Awesome because I know he's ready to get this crap out of the way, and scary because I don't know what the future will hold. I am terribly proud of him though.
This burn itches like crazy. It is also going to leave a very ugly scar. I think I still have some vitamin E to rub on it.
I'm hungry again. Need to shower first, then I'll eat some cheese. YEAH.
Fin.
Mmmm pumpkin spice anything:) I am proud of all y'all. Thesis is hard on the whole family-I know because I grew up with multiple family members who did it and needed as much support as we could do.
