The Intro

I guess an introduction would be in order since the About Me section doesn’t have much room. I’m Jessica, usually called Jess, more widely known as “that fat bitch“. I’m 29 years old and have been married for 4 years to my Asian nerd of a husband whom I met online. We have a four year old son, and our life pretty much revolves around him. We are originally from California, but moved to Chicago in late 2006 so the husband could finish up his education.

Physically and mentally, I leave much to be desired. I’m overweight, and have been all my life, except for the brief period between 2002 and 2004 when I had dropped a bunch of weight and could actually fit into normal sizes. I’m back where I started though, but have recently joined Weight Watchers to get it under control again. It seems to be working. I hope one day to make it through a summer without sweating like a pig.

My mind, it is fragile. I can put on a good act of being strong and competent, but the brain is in constant turmoil. Last September, I suffered a serious anxiety attack that landed me in the ER under suicide watch. I have resolved the physical symptoms of anxiety and depression by being put on Paxil and Xanax, but my mind still harbors dark thoughts and questions about life.

There isn’t going to be one main focus of this blog, which is sort of why I couldn’t think of a title for it. I can’t really identify with the mommy bloggers, although I am a SAHM. I can’t really be a food blog, although I love to cook, and will be posting recipes and maybe some reviews. I’m not a photographer by any means, although I do enjoy taking pictures, so this won’t be a photography blog. I’m not completely insane, so it won’t be a journal of my morbid thoughts. I guess it is sort of a “catch-all” blog. Maybe that should be the name of it.

I’m not sure what else to say. I signed up for Blogger after four years of writing on MySpace. Lately though, MySpace has been sucking when I try to post a new entry, so I’m hoping that Blogger is a bit more reliable. It’s not much fun when you try to post a new entry and the computer (or website) eats it or can‘t post it because of an error.

So, here I go again….and if anyone makes any references to Whitesnake, I’ll beat you.
